For producers and sound engineers looking for deep sub-bass, here is the solution: Sub12 . Made in France in the Focal workshops , this subwoofer delivers unparalleled articulation, impact and depth. Thanks to its 13" (33 cm) "W" cone speaker with very long excursion and its BASH amplifier with a power of 600 W RMS and 1000 W peak-to-peak, the sound transcription is more impactful and faithful as ever. Added to this are optimized reinforcements and a front vent inspired by Trio11 monitors.

COMPOSITE SANDWICH CONE W

Manufactured in France by Focal, the “W” composite cone allows perfect optimization of the frequency response curve. The unique characteristics of lightness and rigidity of this membrane allow control of the signal transmission speed within the material. The modulation of the thickness of the structural foam makes it possible to control very precisely the damping of the membrane. When listening, it provides total sound transparency, very low distortion and excellent phase response.

 

FEATURES

In addition to its large laminar port that eliminates noise and distortion, Sub12 features a disengageable auto-standby mode and offers variable user controls for low pass, high pass and phase, allowing precision ultimate for getting the perfect sound in the studio. Finally, for more practicality, large handles on the sides of the box allow this product to be easily transported by two people.

 

FLEXIBILITY

Sub12's rear controls include switches for polarity, +4dBu or -10dBv sensitivity, auto-standby bypass, input, and Throughout LFE. Sub12 also has an input and an output for a footswitch allowing you to engage the bypass of a single Sub12 or simultaneously on several Sub12s.
